Is it a beep or a buzz?

If it is a beep, and they come in counts of 5, then it is the power steering computer signalling a fault.

If it is a buzz, you have low coolant or low oil.

Ya if you are low on coolant it will buzz or if the coolant level sensor on the radiator is not grounded... the coolant acts like a ground.. The sensor looks like a plastic bolt with a wire check that wire for breakage...
