connectors in the engine compartment??

Hi guys,

I am new to the RX7 world. When I was changing the spark plugs the other day, I found 2 disconnected connectors(if thats what they are called) in the engine compartment. They are on the driver's side. Please anybody can tell me what they work for?? Pics are attached.

P.S. I am also having idle problem (1100rpm~1500rpm, maybe vacuum leak?). Could they be causing the problem?

Thank you all for answering!

Mike
