confused about my 93 R1 oem ecu... any help appreciated
So I want to sell my oem ecu from my fd since I am way too far from ever being able to use it again and Im running Haltech E6K anyway but after taking pics and ready to post it for sale I realized the sticker says N3A4- N3A4 18 881A which is supposed to be a CA Auto ecu but in permanent marker on top of the ecu it has N3C1- N3C1 18 881A which is a FED Manual ecu... now my confusion is my fd is a legit R1 so why would I have an auto ecu or does the writing mean its been remapped to a N3C1 so it could work on my car... any help would be appreciated Id really like to know what im selling somebody...
Was the ECU ever remapped? Could it have been replaced with a reman'd ECU from Mazda? Might someone have transferred the circuit board into a different ECU housing?
If it's not a remapped ECU, I wouldn't sweat it too much. The stock ECU is worth only $30 or so.
