Compatible in-dash heater controls?

I've got an 88 vert and the heater controls, logicon went out. I've got no fan blowing....but I can feel the heat so I know it not the heater core.

I wanna buy a used replacement heater control from junkyard, etc.

Will this same unit from a 3rd Gen 1991 be compatible to my 1988? It looks similar, just upgraded icons on buttons and I hope the plugs in the back are the same.

Anyone know if 91 will work for my 88? Anyone have access to one or both of these? 'Any sellers and dealers out there in Thread Land...???

A '91 isn't a 3rd gen. It's still a 2nd gen car like an '88. The only difference is series 4 vs. series 5, but in this case it doesn't matter. The logicons can be swapped between series.

Also, many logicon failures are just caused by bad solder joints. If you pull it apart and resolder all the major joints and anything that looks questionable, you can probably get it going again.

Yes, thanks my peeps. I've seen many articles on soldering joints. I'm just a rook with this whole "soldering" thing and I dont even have a garage or workshop.

Thanks for all responses...
