MD cold start stalling

OK my 88 very has just started doing something weird the other morning...
usually I'd start my Rex and it would go from 2.7k rpms to about 500rpms and would work its way up to 1.5k rpms then would fall to 750rpms .
no its going from 2.7k rpms to 500 then dies. If I tap the gassed once she'll stay on hit 1.5k rpms then warm up . She never ever stalls while driving jyst on cold start unless I gas it one time and she drives amazing, I forget the problems there usually. Lastly I know about letting her warm up before driving I do it everytime. I'm pretty **** about it even if its already warm. .( never stalls at hot start or at operating temp.)

Plz help. Or this even a big deal

my 7 started to do the same thing when my coolant temp sensor stopped working my guess is to start with that since it deals with the accell warm up, since it happens whens at cold starts

Rhyno how can I do that?
And mistery x 69. Yes I have when I release the clutch at 3k rpms it dips to about 2.3k but if I wait till it hits 1500 then let off she tries to stall.

check if the cable to sensor didnt get unplugged or broken.....the sensor is in the back of the thermostat housing right underneath the alternator...the sensor is actually prettty cheap about $15 at a parts store. before i replaced the sensor i would have to give it gas and hold the rpms at 3k or else the car would die
