NJ clutch problems

i have a 85 mazda rx7 with the 12a,now my problem is when am driving i have to pump the clucth alot of time some i could get a pedal and so i could be able to go to gears or else the pedal goes down to the floor and the gears wont go in ...what could it be?

Clutch hydraulics ~~ Replace the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder. If the rubber line has any signs of aging like deep cracks, replace it, too.

It's a lot easier and more time effective to replace it all than to try to rebuild all of it.

Check for any visible leaks you may be able to get away with just replacing the slave cylinder or a line or something... although the above post is definitely good advice; it is always a good idea to replace everything with some brand new quality parts when you buy an old car such as a 1st gen Rx7.
