clutch noise?

so i was showing my girl how to drive stick in my 88 n/a rx7 when all of a sudden i heard a rattle coming from the car so at first i thought one of the pulleys were loose but they were not. after a few mins i asked her to press the clutch and it rattled again. my friend told me it could be the pressure plate or a throw-out bearing.....it only rattles when the clutch is pressed in........oh and before that the car wouldnt accelerate passed 113mph. And it idles really low sometimes.

It could definitely be the throwout bearing. The pressure plate doesn't really do any moving until the throwout bearing is pressed against its "fingers", so a problem with it isn't very likely.

Not sure why you're trying to go over 113 mph, but on thing to do is make sure the aux port actuators are functioning. Probably best you keep it under 100 mph anyway, tickets at that speed hurt.

Bouncy / low idle is usually a small vacuum leak or TPS in need of adjustment / replacement. Sometimes the BAC can be to blame, as well, but it's less likely.

well the thing is the thing that open the aux ports (i forgot what they are called lol) are not there.....apparently someone decided to take them off before i owned the car......that would explain why my friends miata could stay with me in top gear....
