without asking the previous owner or pulling the transmission?
Unless you are David Copperfield and can stare at it through the inspection hole and identify it?.NO.

If its very stiff on the pedal, engages hard/quick it could be a clutch with pucks, but we're playing a guessing game. There's no way to know without visual inspection.
Sorry its s8 import so rules out asking old owner, Guess ill just have to drop the box
Its not a very friendly clutch only has 0 or 100% and if i ride it to take off like a normal person it makes a lot of noise. No slipping, just burn outs or noise

Yep, sounds like a puck-style clutch. Nice for track, but not so nice for street.
Two 10mm bolts hold the inspection plate on the bottom of the bell-housing. Two common manufacturers for the FD are Exedy and ACT. IIRC, Exedy uses a distinctive purple pressure-plate and ACT's is bright yellow.
