Classic Hot Start?
Lately my stock 90 GXL with 60k takes longer to start than usual when hot - 4-5 seconds.
Cold start is fine about 2 seconds.
I did a couple of tests over the weekend. Yesterday drove 20 miles and came home. Turned it off, waited 15 minutes. Took 4-5 seconds cranking to start. No smoke or gas smell. After a few minutes I shut it off, waited 1 minute - cranked right up.
Today, same cold start about 2 seconds. Drove 10 miles, came home turned it off, waited 15 minutes. Pushed the gas to the floor cranked about 3 seconds it did not want to start at all. Turned it off released the gas pedal, tried again with no gas, started right up - 1 second or less.
Thinking I have the temp sensor problem, or maybe dirty injectors. Any opinions from the wizards?

Pushing the pedal to the floor on an S5 signals the ECU to cut all fuel. It won't start unless you a) let up or b) give it no throttle.
Other than that, hot start issues happen as compression gradually reduces with age. The static start-up fuel maps become a little too rich, and it may have difficulty starting.
