I'm the original owner of 1980 RX7. Photo attached.

Car just failed CA smog test and we believe problem connected with faulty check valve.

I have not been able to find one anywhere so if someone can suggest a possible source I would be very grateful. Without smog test, my options for the car are very limited.

More info on the Check valve..where is it,and what does it do?.
..the question is like saying: "that is my car over there" ,and pointing to the Parking lot full of cars.
Try to be specific as possible and that will get you quick more definitive answers.

I appreciate your comment but the check valve is a very specific device on many cars, not just RX7s, and we figured readers would know what it is. It is a pressure sensitive valve that sits on or near the fuel tank and controls the flow of fuel to the engine. It is particularly important here in CA due to the periodic smog tests.

My hope is that people can recommend a supply source for hard to find rotary related parts even if they don't know the details of what a check valve does. I have tried several but without results.
