MO Carb issues on 85 12a

I just posted my introduction in the New Member area.

I've trolled these posts for over a year now while helping my son rebuild his 85 12a RX7.

We've redone the suspension from the ground up as well as the brakes.

Next major hurdle is the factory carb. I've rebuilt carbs in the past. Hardest one was a Rochester Quadrajet on my 68 Firebird 400 but I'll say that the factory 4 barrel that comes on these cars is the most complicated and hard to work on carb I've ever encountered.

Any suggestions on an easy to replace and work on carb for this car?

Thanks
Roy
KC area

PS trying to get my post count over 3 but this is a valid problem we're having. grin.

If you don't have emissions testing where you live, then a lot of those exterior pieces can be eliminated which makes life easier. Go to the 1st gen section, and search for "naked nikki" and you should be able to find a thread detailing what can be eliminated and how to do it....
