Canadian car into USA

Was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of getting a Canadian FD into the US. Is it possible? Can the title be changed. And if so what needs to be done for registration? Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks, John

It can be done, yes. This will vary by year. If the car is over 25 years old (from its build date), it is exempt from US safety standards. This makes the process a lot easier. If its under 25 (maybe a late build 95 model?) you will need to prove it meets US standards. You will also be paying duty on your purchase.

Here's a good article from hagerty covering the process of an over 25: https://www.hagerty.com/articles-vid...nada-to-the-us
