buying a fc3s with a rebuild

Looking for a fc and alot of the ones seem to advertise newly rebuild engine with less than 10k miles on them.

my question is, generally speaking, how reliable are those rebuilt engines you see on craigslist??

Can I trust any mechanic's rebuild or does it HAVE to come from a reputable shop in order for it to be reliable?

It completely and totally depends on who did the rebuild. It is very easy to build a reliable engine, but it is also very easy to build a complete piece of ****.

A properly rebuilt engine will be reliable for 100K+ miles.
