Buying 1st generation rx7 need advice on exhaust.

Hello friends, been an rx7 fan since 1988 when I lived in Puerto Rico . I’m finally able to get my dream car and I’m going to pull the trigger if all goes well. I remember rx7 owners just cruising with that amazing rotary engine sound. My question is I’m looking for the same deal just a cruise and hear my rotary engine without having my neighbors hate me. What kind of exhaust should I be installing? Or what do I need ? In order to enjoy my car and not feel like I’m in a race track. I Appreciate all opinions. Thank you

welcome to the board.

as much as i'm hearing about little problems here and there, i'd still have to say Racing Beat (RB). they sound great without being obnoxious, and from what you describe that you want, it sounds like they would be the right choice.

it’s great to be here and finally have some good advice. I will definitely look into the racing beat exhaust. Diabolical headers or no headers?

header will be part of the system from RB. this is the system i currently run, although, it the much earlier version with the slant cut muffler tips. very quiet and wont **** off neighbors. i do have another system just like this only with a straight piped center section. prices have probably doubled since either of these systems were purchased back then. these systems used is a good option too if money's tight.

a complete system is definitely the way to go, and the header would be a part of that. as said above, they are very expensive now, but you're probably not going to find a better system without some trial and error.
