It's been a little while but I detailed a FD and the bumpers were insanely hard to correct the paint on. Rest of the car went incredibly well but even 3-4 passes over the bumpers I wasn't getting great results. Still a noticeable amount of swirls. The parts that weren't swirled looked cleaner and more glossy but under the right light the bumpers still looked terrible.

Anyone else experience this?

 

The bumper covers have probably been repainted at some point....badly.
