BOV 88 AE Turbo
I am considering buying a Greddy BOV for my 88 twin turbo model AE. I have full racing beat exhaust installed(my air pump is gone due to the racing beat with the FCC). Any reason why I should/should not do this? If it is an alright idea any good tips for putting it on(other then the instructions in the manual for installation). Any criticism I will take.
Also looking into a Turbo Timer.
Noob 7 owner here just learning the ropes.

The only downside to an aftermarket BOV is if you do not recirculate the air. The stock ECU expects the air that passes the AFM to stay within the system (normally fed back before the turbo), so what can happen is a rich mixture between shifts. I haven't personally experienced this myself, but I have heard some notice a difference.
A turbo timer is just a waste of money. The stock turbo is both oil and water cooled, so there's no reason you should be worrying about running the engine for X minutes every time you stop somewhere.

He explained that open venting the valve will cause a rich mixture between shifts. So you either need to live with that, or buy a valve that can be recirculated.
If you open vent, just remove the hose and plug the nipple with a cap.

Well, I prefer quite BOVs so I have an Apex'I Twin Chamber. It is more subtle. The Greddy kind of huffs and is quite loud. Though some of them have the option to recirculate. If you want noise, you want a TurboXS RFL (it stands for "Really ******* Loud"....seriously).

I heard that some cars have idling issues with the Apexi. Is it working fine on yours? I read up on the twin chamber and does it really make a difference from say a Greddy?
If you have any pictures or tips for installation that would really help a lot.

I run a full standalone and my car is far from stock so I can't comment on idling issues.
There would only be an idle issue if the BOV is leaking in some way.
The twin chamber is far more quiet then the Greddy. The Greddy also has an option to recirculate.

Does the Apexi Twin Chamber come with a full kit as the Greddy RS does? The Greddy comes with an adapter and all. I really want the Apexi but I can find little to none information when I look around to buy it. I already downloaded the Greddy instruction manual but the Apexi is in Japanese(i think) and does not seem to come with an adapter. Any clarification is appreciated.

I don't know if the kits are available still. You'd have to check with the vendor. It is not something I have ever cared about since I just make my own flange and weld onto the intercooler piping.
