Bouncy headlight in my FD

Hey everyone,

Just bought an Fd a couple weeks ago and noticed at night it looks like I'm strobing the freeway with my sakebomb headlights. After further inspection one light is fine but the other has about a half inch of give, so every bump I hit makes it bounce around quite a bit.

Is there a simple fix for this? Searched the forums but didn't come across anyone with a similar problem.

If you don't get any answer, the best bet is to contact the manufacturer(Sake Bomb Garage). They should be able to help you fix your issue.

I should have clarified, it's not specifically the sakebomb lights, it's the whole headlight housing that's bouncing a bit. One sits up and doesn't budge when I push on it. The other is loose enough to wiggle around a bit.

well no offense then,I would be delving into how it is mounted.
If you feel comfortable take a look at the good one then go to the bad one.

I've seen some pretty funky stuff on these cars and let me tell you, some of the ways that stuff has been put on,it's a freakin wonder that the part, the car or it's driver actually survived!.

(Ie transmission mounted with M8 threaded rod!..Holy ****..really!)

I'm with Styx. Apparently you bought a modified FD. If you're not willing to go hands-on with the car it's not going to be fun. Disassemble as needed and figure out why it's loose. It may not be simple but it doesn't sound all that involved either.

Just got into it and found a nut that was probably over tightened to the bolt that snapped. I did break a part of the headlight cover but looking around the forum I can JB Weld that back together. Looks like I'll be grabbing a few items from the store and hopefully getting this back together soon.

Same thing with me....except this was because the previous owner just ziptied the headlights in the housing

I planned to get the sleek headlights so I pulled these out and never looked back. The issue with mine was the motor that lifted the light up wasn't locking out. I never looked into how to fix it though
