Batty in boot wiring

Hey guys my rx7 fd3 current has its battery in the boot but who ever put it in decided to use 2 lengths of 8 gauge amp wire. And run it inside the car

I want to swap it to the poper battery cable for the many reasons u r also thinking lol and run it outside/ under the car

Looking under the car I found there is a plastic track/ sheld running the length if the car and I was wondering if this would be a good place to run the cable so it is save from the ground, stones, etc

If this is where u have run it or have a better way of running it could u please let me know

I'd like to run it the sanest and cleanest way I can

Thanks for all the help guys

I have done a few cars and always ran the cable through the inside of the car. I will be doing my car soon and happy to post pics if it is at all useful?

Planning to run down left hand side at this stage

when i do them i run them under the car in condute and fix them to the chassis rail with p clamps. only run them in the car if you are going to shield the other wires due to interference this can cause problems hope this helps also would not hurt to run a run a circuit breaker and a isolation switch.
