bad turbo

bad turbo

smokes when I turn it on only when cold I can see oil under rear turbo not a lot and only blue smoke smells like oil

might want to check the oil return. it could be leaking from one of those two oil return lines. they have a gasket and a two bolt fitting that bolts to the engine block

A little blue smoke on start up isn't necessarily bad. Oil sometimes gets past the seals and it burns off on start up. Mine does the same thing. If you really wanted to get into it, it could be a leaky oil injector, oil getting past the seals, some oil in the turbos, etc. until it starts smoking all the time don't worry about it. It's a 7 thing.

it could be the seals on the turbo. when you fire it up as soon as the seal gets warm, it swells thus causing the leak, to stop.

after it warms up its okay thankyou for the response ill keep yous updated when I replace them
