how do i fix my rpm gauge from bouncing everywhere like crazy?

From: Smiths Falls.(near Ottawa!.Mapquest IT!)
You will see a single wire near the Trailing coil,and also at the leading coil.They have female Bullet connectors on them.Attach them together with a small lead,and it should stop your tach from bouncing.
