CA Automatic to Manual Transmission Change 1993 3rd Generation

In 1994, I purchased an automatic 1993 RX-7 and drove it for five years putting just over 100,000 miles on the car until the engine seals went I was lucky enough that year to find a 1994 5-speed with 20,000 miles that had been hit in the driver’s side door. Not badly enough to effect the engine or the drive train. I completely stripped down the wrecked car that year and pulled my motor. When getting ready to put the new motor in I found out that I would have to change the transmission, drive train, and many other parts so I put it off.

Twelve years later and five months ago I started the project, which seems to be about 300 hours to this point. I am about ready to try and start the car. I have seen paragraphs or two from five or six people that have done this and they all seem to conflict a little. I have two or three questions. One that I have seen addressed by the five or six people is the wiring. Some feel under dash wiring needs to be changed and others say that I can get by without doing it. One thing in regards to the wiring that just came up as I was installing the EGI. There are two blue plugs by the EGI and one white one that I assume is for the Bose because of a very similar plug on the center speaker amplifier. The two blue male plugs I’m guessing are to be just tucked under the EGI and not worried about. It would be nice to know for sure. I am really not wishing to pull the dash to replace the wiring loom, but I have spent hours trying to find where the engine shut off switch on the clutch plug into on the automatic wiring loom. There is also a female plug right next to the starter solenoid that is just setting there. Really wish I knew for sure what is necessary.
