Automatic 94 fd reliability mods
I just purchased an automatic 94 FD and the only mod on it is a HKS intake. I was doing some searching and reading and it's not easy to find any info on the automatic's other then don't push the tranny past 300HP. I plan on keeping the car stock. I just want to make it more reliable. I found a few threads talking about reliability mods.
So my questions are: Do the reliability mods apply both to auto's and manuals?
If so is there anything extra or less I need to do with an auto?
thanks for the help guys.

Yes, the reliability mods apply equally to a/t cars.
Much of the "wisdom" about modding auto's is changed now that you can buy an ECU adapter that allows the stock ECU to control the transmission and an aftermarket ECU to control the engine. From what I understand now that substantially improves what can be done safely.

Alright I will see about getting an an ECU. But I have to do some searching on it. If I can't find anything in a couple of days then I will hit this thread back up. Thanks.

I'll probably be PMing you in a couple of days.
I've read that heat is the enemy alot and I live about 10 miles from the desert so I wont be driving the car much in the summer months (July-August). I am keeping the car in San Diego on base were I work and drive as I need to lunch or appointments. I car pool to work in the mornings and afternoons. I wont be putting alot miles on the car at all maybe around 50 miles a month.
