Currently I am in the process of doing a rebuild. Can anyone tell me what the beneifits of going aftermarket apex seals vs OEM. What is the benefit of going ceramic?

thanks

depends on what your intentions are for the engine.
Mazda seals are usually good for a wide range of applications and work just fine.

This has never, ever, in the entire history of this forum, been discussed before.

Aftermarket seals run the entire spectrum from cheaper and about as reliable, to more expensive and less reliable, to expensive and virtually indestructible, to just an alternative to OEM.

It would help if you gave us some info about the type of engine you are building. Power goals?

But OEM is just fine for almost all applications.
