Ya I was thinking whenever I have a real update/progress to post, I'd start a proper thread, but I am honestly considering waiting until the conversion is done to post pics and show the money I wasted..... I figure if the majority thinks its retarded, then why keep them updated with something they don't wanna see

I look forward to seeing your build thread. I honestly don't think the "majority" of the people here think that it's retarded. A waste of money perhaps (but then again, you could argue that about a lot of builds :-)), but definitely interesting to watch. Personally, I find these kinds of conversions pretty interesting.
