I just bought an 88 se and it drove great until all at once the lights dimmed and my voltage lowered until finally the car shut off. I had the car jumped and was on the road again and the problem continued. I noticed when I bought the car there was a new alternator on it and battery. I have also replace the alternator and am wondering if any one else has had similar problems? I dont want to have to keep buying alternators and batteries. So I dont know if I need a more powerful alternator or if there is a short in the electrical system. If you have any suggestions that would be great!
