I just overhauled my engine on my 1991 RX7 convertible. The engine runs very well and starts immediately every time with no blue smoke.. My only problem is the air bag light blinks eight times, then after a few seconds will blink eight more times. It does this continuously. I did a search and founds the codes but there is no code for eight blinks. Any idea what is causing this? All electrical connections have been checked. The blue & orange plug connectors seem to be hooked up the way they should be. The overhaul took three months and the car battery was disconnected during this time. The air bag light always worked well before the overhaul. I have tried resetting the computer, did not help. I did not disconnect any sensors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
