Aftermarket lights

Does anyone have experience with aftermarket lights that still use the stock combination switch? I guess the guy who put it in, didn't want to mess with it so he put on off switches instead of connecting like all cars. To turn on my head lights its one switch, another switch for brights, and for the tails/brakes its stock combination switch on steering column.

simple hook up to use the stock switch.
Just get it to operate a relay that will kick on the lights on that circuit(say LO beam) and that is that.
You can't put too much power through the switch or it will fry it,so having the switch just operate the "coil side" of the relay will actually draw less power than the lights of they were stock.
I run a 4 beam LO and 4 Beam HI using this very setup and I haven't had any issues at all.

There are plenty of HID systems that can easily be hooked up to the car also. The Threads can be found as most things done to these cars usually get documented and posted.

NOTE: State your CAR SERIES the next time you submit a Thread..it's easier to distinguish problems and commonalities.
