A couple common issues would be failed oil metering pumps & leaky oil cooler lines.

The rear end will be a 4.1, 7" open diff stock. What do u want to know about it?

What is "cold"? Normal operating temp on an S5 is halfway up the stock gauge (~180F).

Again, what is a long time to heat up? It all depends on air temps, but you should reach full operating temp after maybe 5+ minutes of driving.

The stock oil cooler has a thermostat in it, which allows oil temperatures to reach operating temp quicker. Virtually every FC on the road will have the stock cooler, since it is actually very good.

Welcome to Rotaries!

Hands down, FCs do take longer to warm up then most cars. I have owned 4, currently own 3. Coming from a 240sx myself; your going to miss the drive-ability and drift-ability of the 240sx. Oh and the nice interior 240's have.

However these things are beasts when it comes to touge racing, and stock for stock they are faster than KA 240s.

How come you have a 4.7 diff in the car? Stock they are 4.1.

Since your differential is open, you're going to have a hard time maintaining a drift unless you weld it. And if you weld it, you're going to break it drifting, just like nearly every other part in your car. Ask DK_washer_Xx (or something like that) in the West Forums about how many welded differentials hes been through.

Serious drifting you are going to want to put a lsd in. Having fun on the streets messing around drifting the open 4.1 diff is fine; it will hold up pretty well.
