Add Coolant light is on

ok so ive recently rebuilt my motor in my 94 RX-7. Ever since ive started it and ran it to break in the motor the "Add Coolant" gauge turns on and makes a siren noise. When i checked to see if the sensor was wrong or unplugged so i checked there was a wire that was unplugged next to the radiator cap and alternator so i plugged that in to see if it solved the problem but it didnt... so can anyone know what might be the problem to this... pics are coming soon.

Are you sure all of the air is out of the cooling system?

^ What he said. If you still have an AST and haven't properly burped the system what you are experiencing can happen easily.

Check the FAQs in the 3rd Gen Section for proper burping technique.
