Accelorator cable to short to reach the carb
1985 mazda rx7 12a with a holly carb i bought the stock cable from a salvage yard now its to short it seems that i need a few more inches all the cables are loose not sure where they go any ideas any body know a good shop in jersey near newark i could get work done

my first question would be did you remove the cable yourself? if they pulled it, it may have come from a Gen II and as I recall, the N/A cables are fairly short (whereas the T2 cables are crazy long).
anyway, photos might help. the stock Gen I cable will operate a Holley without issue. I can confirm that.

from the photo, it looks as though something might be missing from the carburetor. the problem is that i'm not sure and none of the photos that I have of my brother's car seems to show the cable side of his Holley.
