accelerating troubles

im working on my friends 85 rx7 he just had the card rebuilt i changed all vacuum lines and complete tune up plugs,wires,cap,rotor im having trouble keeping it idling when it comes to a stop sign and accelarating you have to kind of feather it to git it going, once it gets up to around 2000 rpm runs great any help or suggestions wood be great thanks dan

Sterling is our resident Nikki carb expert. He's got all kinds of troubleshooting info, and a forum specifically for these carbs over at www.sterlingmetalworks.com

Check over there, but first make sure that you have spark on all of the spark plugs, just to eliminate the possibility of an ignition problem.
