AC delete reverse

How extensive is AC delete on the FD? I am looking for a nicely modded FD w 13B, but often times, they have no AC no PS. PS I can live without, but no AC would kill me in the hot summer drives in LA... If I find a nice FD with No AC, would it be expensive to put one back in?

it really all depends to what extent someone deleted it. if they just got rid of the compressor, condensor, drier and lines then it would be as simple as putting those parts back in at whatever the going rate of those parts is. if they went above and beyond and deleted the entire air system to include all the parts under the dash then youll have to deal with that too. most people dont go that far since it involves removing the dash.

I'm in the same boat, just bought an FD and the A/C was deleted, luckily all the parts were on hand. Will they bolt right on again or are there issues with parts being out in the air for a time and seals or something going? Luck should something be rebuilt before reinstall?

I guess if the previous owner installed different parts in the location, you will have to get creative.

At least make sure to replace all the o rings. They are green (not black) and Auto zone sells a set with bunch of different sizes for like $2.50.

I bought used system and getting mine worked on in a shop. They will attempt to fit it back into the car somehow...

Did this to the one I bought, had everything removed including the evaporator but I was able to put it back in without removing the dash. Then after putting everything in, found out the wires to the relay in the front were cut so had to patch the harness. Fun times but it is in there and working now.

I am also potentially in the same boat.

Looks like I would have to figure out how to mount the condenser somewhere in the v-mount area that won't disturb the single turbo setup.

Anyone have a link to a thread where someone did this? Or, are there brackets that can be ordered from someone that just bolt it into a v-mount setup? (doubt this)

Also, this car has an Apexi FC Commander. Will this controller work with the AC? Does the harness get chopped like you mentioned above?
