93 rx-7 question

I just bought the car and it has a weird sound. The only way to describe it would be it sounds like on a non-rotary when the lifters tick....dont know if that is enough info but if anyone has an idea what it might be let me know.

Thanks

Whenever I had a sound like that it's been an apex seal gone bad. The motor will not start well and run like **** when this happens. Another time I fried a bearing and I guess the rotor was contacting the housing, anyway did not sound good.

Check that the MAP sensor hose is connected. If it is, get a compression test.

Did it make this sound on your test drive before you bought it? What was the compression before you bought it?

I bought the car as is for 5000. I cant really check under the hood right now because i just stored the car till may. The car actually runs and drives great. The sound doesn't happen all the time. But when it makes the noise it happens only in lower rpms, bellow 5000. Doesn't make it when the car is being pushed.
