93 FD Tranny Cooler Problem
93 FD Tranny Cooler Problem
OK Gents, I have had my 93 FD automatic for about 8 years now. I did quite a few dumb mods when I was younger(18 years old when I first got it) to either save money or simply because I thought I knew what I was doing. Now I am trying to rectify past mistakes. The issue I have going on now is with my Tranny. When I was 18 I drifted the car around a corner and into a curb, destroying the old plastic radiator. I went to a local import shop and they ordered me a new Koyo replacement. While installing the new one I discovered that the new Koyo did not have the inlet and the outlet for the built in transmission cooler. I did however see that there was another cooler under the passenger side headlight so I just bought some hose and bypassed it. Now I as Im trying to make up for old stupidity I bought a new Transmission cooler and wanted to install. My questions are this, is the transmission cooler under the passenger side headlight stock for an auto FD? Is this one cooler efficient to where I dont need to add the new one I bought? I also have an oil cooler underneath the drivers side headlight, is that stock for a touring auto FD? Should I install the new one in line with the old one and if so what tubes are the inlet and the outlet? Thanks for the help guys! My silver lady needs it.
