93 FD CEL Code 6

Looked around but only see threads relating to intercepting the speed sensor for upgraded dashboards and GPS tracking.

Replaced my transmission with a brand new OEM a few months ago, getting CEL 6, which relates to the speed sensor, yet my speedometer works without issue

Ive got a jumpy tach (not full sweeps, just +/- 500rpm and only at high revs) and my odometer doesnt work, not sure if its just the cluster failing or ive actually got an issue. Any ideas where to start, i know the sensor is in the gearbox, trying to find all the connection points and rule out a bad/broken connector before diving down the rabbit hole. Ive tried to take the cluster hood off, but that bastard wont come out without breaking.

Input is appreciated

It just went away for me after a while. Cars a finicky little bitch and if I don’t throw money at it often enough it gets bitchy.

my tach works fine now as does my odometer which was dead for months. No issue with the speed sensor cel 6 either. Sorry bud.
