How wide a tire can I put on my stock whhels?
225. 50 be okay?

They are 6.5" wide wheels, and a 205/60/R15 is the stock size. An NA vert doesn't need any wider tires, and they'll just bulge out even further if you go wider. I would suggest sticking to OEM size.

I have 225/50 on my vert's BBS, looks and feels good with some increased tracking. No clearance issues or sidewall bulge.

225/50 don't bulge bad at all on mine. But I do rub a little a full steer. I am very low tho.
