Hey guys, on my 90 vert one night I was driving home and then parked. I went to close my top without flipping the top open. So it got stuck. I had to pry the top up to flip it up. Then when I got it up I tried to close the top by using the switch. It beeps but nothing happens. At this point I also realized that the engine wouldn't start either. When you turn the key you hear one click and nothing. All accessories work. I had to disengage the soft top from the motor to manually close the top. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Check your battery connections. Take them loose and clean them well, put them back on and try it.

 

Another quick troubleshoot is to have someone stand in front of the car, turn on the headlights, then try the ignition. If the lights dim/go out, it's the battery. If they don't change at all, then check out the starter.
