89 13B swap into 86-88
Hey, how's it going everyone?
So I'll just cut to the chase quick. I did in fact look through the forums and google for a while to see if anyone covered the topic, but nothing came up that would be beneficial, so apologies in advance if there's a thread somewhere out there, I will look into that.
Anyways, I have an 89 vert whose motor n tranny still run really solid. I bought it months back and was planning on dd'ing it and selling my dd I have now. Long story short, the frame and subframe are rotten to ****, and I have no time, money or shop to restore anything or custom fabricate. I was looking through some classifieds and stumbled upon a few really good shells in clean condition that I would most likely swap my s5 into, however that would be going into an 86-88 most like, or at least those are my best options as of right now. The car is sitting at a parking lot since
I have no room to store it or work on it, since my original plan was to part it out a couple of weeks after I got it, but like I said due to lack of space I wasn't able to really do anything.
As of recently, one of my buddies let me know I would be able to do the swap up at his farm, so I want to act on that asap.
Soo, since I'm doing the swap I might as well swap the tranny over as well. If anyone knows some any good threads or pages that go over something like this, I'd really appreciate if you could send a link as a response, and if you have any helpful info or tips etc, I'd really appreciate it as well. Cheers!

You can do it.
Use the front cover of the S4 so you get rid if the S5 OMP as it has no hook up on the s4 harness to run it.
Then you need the s4 injectors,S4 Throtttle body and linkage to the omp.
Basically you can keep the keg,but run the rest of the s4 parts up top.
