Mine has a crack in that trim piece too...Its plastic... But that is the least of my worries. I am hoping I will have some time this weekend to start getting it back together...I miss driving it!!

ON another note I got my 3in down tube and converter delete tube

Quick Question This was in the box of parts that came with the engine... I am pretty sure I need it... But what the hell is it? And where does it Go? I would appreciate it:scratch:

TII Fuel pump resistor/relay. You don't need it unless you converted to TII wiring (in which case you could bypass it). It switches fuel pump voltage down to 9v at idle and low load to reduce fuel usage. S4 NAs never used one, but Mazda put it on S4 TIIs and all S5s.

Krbyman 12-08-11 11:13 PM

Well I put in a T2 Engine harness... But I havent got the slightest idea where it goes. Also I have ran into another issue with the throttle cable... The Na cable was too short and came in on the wrong side. Now I got a T2 cable and its long as sh@t... Does it loop around the engine?

RotaryRocket88 12-09-11 05:02 PM

Emissions (EM) harness or engine (E) harness? EM plugs into the ECU and E connects to the battery, starter, transmission, etc... I'm assuming you mean the EM harness.

As long as you didn't use a TII front harness (which is where it plugs in), you won't need it/have a place to hook it up. But since you used a TII emissions harness, you'll now need to rewire plug junctions FEM-01 and FEM-02.

Krbyman 12-11-11 12:45 AM

Yes Its just the E harness... This might be a stupid question But Why would I need to do this and what do I wire them too. Sorry I am kinda Learning as I am going. With a Rotary Anyway.

Krbyman 12-11-11 08:31 PM

em I mean.

Hailers posted a couple of images of the FEM connections in post #9. If the pins are not rearranged, many things will not work.

I have had the Car sent off to Rx7world. To finish the wiring. I feel that I could do it. But I wasn't too comfortable With it. So decided to send it out let him Deal with and let it be right! . OH and I have a picture of a big wrench haha

I also Picked this up. Got screwed on this one. Asked the guy repeatedly if It had any issues overheating, and if there was any issue with any seals. idled fine there for 30 minutes. Took it home the coolant seals go out within the first few miles. Come to find out has all the coolant silicone sealant crap through out the whole thing. Awesome!

cab91089 01-30-12 09:18 AM

Damn I like the new toys! That red base model FC is pretty mint looking.

Krbyman 01-30-12 10:21 AM

Yeah the base model was gonna be a perfect scca car. Body is great, Engine is junk.

cab91089 02-01-12 04:51 PM

Looks like its the perfect car for a Turbo2 swap too or rebuild the engine with a half bridge port! SCCA sounds fun

Krbyman 02-02-12 12:56 PM

Yeah, it would of been a perfect scca car it being a slick top and manual steering. Just Frustrates me about the engine because this season I was just going to autocross it and build as I went. I do something with the motor next year. it just really pissed me off... I dont think I would do a t2 swap though I was either gonna bridge port it or do some sort of different swap like 4.3 vortec or the 4.2 vortec. But I am actually just trying to get rid of it right now. get a little bit of my money back and finish the vert.

The Lonely Driver 02-02-12 08:14 PM

bridge port and doing some scca would be pretty sweet, but cant blame you for wanting to get some money back on the transaction and try to finish the vert job. The convertible project was looking great!

cab91089 02-03-12 08:07 AM

If you werent so far away I would buy it! but that does really suck about the engine ESPECIALLY if you had no idea there was something wrong with it when you went to look at it/ buy it. If I were you I would keep it and save it until the convertible project is done and then rebuild and bridge it and maybe run it next year in SCCA.

Krbyman 02-03-12 10:13 AM

Yeah that kind of what i am thinking.I have couple projects that i want to finish first but i also found a 90 gtu I might try to get my hands on.

jesseluck 02-03-12 07:14 PM

Nice 60$ shipped is awesome on that hood! I have a regular hood with a backwoods looking scoop and hole cut through from the PO.

SuppaFred 02-05-12 08:23 PM

I actually sent it out to get the wiring done. It is a shop not too far from here and all he does is rx7's. And I want it done right and just didnt feel like messing witht eh wiring.

As for my 2002 I love that little car Its fun and good gas runs like a champ has a few upgrade off the e30. And I like how much I got it for....Nothing! It was given to me.
