Hey, i got an 88 convertible and i'm having some problems with the cruise control.
I know how to work it, its a little lever like the turn signals. You push the button to turn it on and the light comes on that shows that it is on and then you are supposed to push the button on the end to set it, the light that says it is set comes on as well but it doesn't work. I have no idea what could be wrong. All the lights work and I have no problem except well it won't work. It doesn't set the speed. Any ideas on what I should do or fix or look for? anything will help. Thanks

 

The cruise control unit is a circle looking thing in the back of the engine bay on the passenger side. The first thing you need to do is figure out if you have it, and if you do whether or not its an electrical or vacuum type unit.
