88 gxl input shaft seal

My father in law owns an auto parts store and I asked him to look up an input shaft seal for my car. When he did he said that there was a kit that had a sleave or something like that to make the seal seat properly because of a manufacturer defect. I've never heard of this and I was wondering if someone could help me? Also what is the little sensor that us grounded to my slave cylinder?

And regarding the sensor on your slave cylinder.
