'87 n/a crank but no start problem!!
FC floods easy and I constantly do the trick to deflooding it where you pull the fuse and crank it for 10 secs while holding the gas to get it running. Now I have a different problem! Started it one mornin..warmed it up for a few minutes and drove bout 4 blocks and it started sputtering and hesitating!!! Then just died and would not start!!! Cranks fine but no start.... deflooding trick dont work.... I replaced the plugs and wires and still the same ****!! Im thinking maybe the AFM but if its that then it would at least start and die right away... Can anyone tell me what it can be?!?! maybe bad injectors? im just thinking its linked to the flooding somehow... also why do rotaries flood anyway??

Yes i do believe it is leaky injectors or too much fule from the pressure rgulators. Just check the haynes book. I am replacing my engin compartment fuel filter. Do you know how to get to the primary injectors?

I am having the same problem also but my car can stay running, but it feels like it lost half of its power and also it sound deeper like a chopper with a lot of misfiring.
Did you ever find a way to fix this problem?
thanks.

yeh it floods and I do the pull fuse deflooding trick and itll start right up.. but now itll crank over but no start at all... is there any test I can run or anything else I should be checking to get this thing started? also what causes rotaries to flood n e way????
Yeh I can get to the primary injectors. Took all injectors off and replaced the o-rings thinking that might solve leaky injectors but I realized the new o-rings wont stop it from leakin at all.. maybe I need new injectors idk....
Sometimes you gotta try the trick hella time before itll start. I read leaking/bad injectors and Low compression are 2 of the main reasons that cause flooding. Try compression test first cause its easier than testing the injectors. I deflooded my fc so much til it didnt fire up anymore... got frustrated with it for weeks til I realized I was out of gas LOL. I refueled N it fired up but it still floods....
