87 gxl wiring harness.

I purchased an 87 GXL with a chevy 4.3L V6. The last owner thought it was running bad, so he added another fuel pump, and next thing ya know, it caught on fire. Fried all the main wiring behind the dash and in the engine compartment. i was wondering if anyone knew of any place to get all of the wiring harnesses. Id rather not go to a salvage yard. I prefer new for a project like this.

Brand new wiring harnesses will cost you thousands of dollars from Mazda. When you have more posts (10), check the classified section of this forum.

So are you keeping the V6, or are you converting back to a rotary?

i was actually thinking on a ford 302 5.0L, i have the 13b in my garage right now, but i think that 500 dollars for the 302 with tranny is a bit better deal.
more bang for the buck.

well so far i havent had much time to wrench on the FC much due to work and my main car being down. putting a clutch and a ball joint in my 93 honda civic is kinda a pain when doing it all by yourself. as soon as the honda is out of the garage, the rx is going back in and it will be time to get to work. does anyone know of a site or anything i can find wiring diagrams for the GXL? i would try tracing some of the wires around, but its just a melted mass of crap and it makes it tough to sort anything out. i will have more pictures up shortly of the lovely mess i have to deal with, maybe that will spark a few suggestions for me.
