Can you rework that sentence a little and perhaps use some punctuation? I can't quite figure out what you are trying to ask.

Are you saying that the warning lights (idiot lights) don't all light up with the ignition is on but the car is off?

i think what he meant was that when the ignition is off and the car is off the lights still light up (parking brake light and seat belt light) as if the key was on but i also think he was saying something about the door light staying on as well.

maybe its a door switch for the puddle light to come on with the door closed.

The second response was mostly correct, with the key off the parking brake light is on and if the key is off and even when the switch is removed I can turn on the headlights and they pop up.

exactly what I meant and by door light I meant the open door dummy light, could this be a bad ground or a short in the ign wiring because I got it with a toggle switch and push button and have attempted to return it to factory ignition switch and lock cylinder, could it be a bad trace in the ecu?

The ECU has nothing to do with the Lights.(unless you are talking Flashers, then there is a flasher/horn signal light ecu)
That switch on the door jamb though,it can short out.

Those switches are a terrible design. The contacts are completely exposed so the wire often corrodes and falls off the back of the switch. If the wire grounds, the lights come on.
