can anyone tell me if i can replace my stock 86 tranny with a stock 91 tranny without any modifications, they are both none turbo. thanks

You will be fine, but you need to use the transmission crossmember that matches the transmission.

So to put the 91 in the 86 you need to use the 91's (S5) crossmember.

 

thanks guy's but i have one more ? someone just told me that i would have to change out the axle and the starter, I would run into much trouble, just to stick with an 86-88, is this true? thanks

i have a s5 tranny....i was trying 2 sell it cuz i thought it didnt fit so super thanxxxxx!!!!!1
