85 12a check valve
OK folks, I have read posts going back to 2001 ! still cant find the answer I am looking for. This is my FIRST Mazda, have read through the FSMs, and only found a bulletin about replacement.
The check valve located forward of the gas tank, one line from it went into a can located on the frame. After the car is shut off, I have a fuel leak that is very significant.
It appears the fuel is coming from that line, into the frame, runs down the inside of the frame and then empties on top of the fuel tank.
I found this after dropping the tank, replacing fuel lines and clamps.
At first we thought it was the tank - but its not.
So, is this needed or can I just bypass it ? we have no emissions down here, just visual for cats.
Sorry if this was answered, I just cant find it.
Thanks for the help.
