'84 RX-7 GS Horn Problem
Hi all, I'm brand new to not only this forum, but also cars, and most recently: RX-7 ownership. I've always wanted an RX-7 but could never afford one, but I finally managed to pick up a beautiful '84 GS with a 12a, all stock.
Introductions aside, everything works great on it, except for the horn. I've tried my hardest to read up on this sort of repair, but it sounds like some of the general information on the subject may not apply to first gen RX-7's. I've checked the fuses; all good, just as the diagram on the box says it should be. I heard the next step is to check the relay, but apparently that is soldered to the CPU? I've heard mixed things, but I'm out of ideas. The horn kinda clicks, but there's no sound from under the dash (from the cpu).
I'm quite inexperienced here, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

take the wire off the horn( at the front of the car)
stick a Volt meter in between the harness connector(wire for horn) and ground.
If it reads 12V every time you hit the horn button then it is the HORN itself that is pooched.
