84 RX-7 fuel issue
I was having trouble getting fuel to the carburetor on my 12a and was wondering if anyone new where I could find out where the wires for the fuel pump run to. Or where could I splice into for a new wire. Any help would be much appreciated.
Why do you think it is the fuel pump? Has it stopped "whirring" back there?
This is not normally an item that goes out. Usually, it's the fuel filter being so clogged that the fuel pump can't draw any fuel that causes the problems.

I agree with mar3, however I did find a wiring diagram that will hopefully help out if I can figure out how to link it to this reply. Its on page 50:14 and 50:15. Hopefully this helps. I can't remember where I found the FSM originally, however I think there is a link to it in the FAQ for 1st Gen. I'll see if I can find that link too.
Here, hopefully, is the wiring diagram;

Alright found the link for the FSM download. Pretty straight forward. You'll find the .pdf file for the wiring diagram and some instructions on reading the schematics as well.
Thanks Sgt Fox for the link.

One thing I forgot about...on the 84/85 cars, the engine actually has to be turning in order for the fuel pump circuit to be powered up....on my '83, I turn the key and hear it...on the '84, it won't do that.
I've tested the fuel pump itself, and it still cuts on, but I don't have any voltage coming to it. I'll have to test it again with the engine turning. I have spark, and I've redone all my secondary ignition. I've also put on a new fuel filter. Thanks for all the help so far.
