84 non turbo 7 loses power as soon as 2ndary opens
Hey Now!
I was wrong last night when I said 84, this is an 88 model. I bought an 84 944 this weekend. Sorry. Yes this is a fuel injected engine. I have put new intake manifold gaskets on, checked all the vacuum lines, & the timing is on the money. This happened once b/4 and it was the gaskets under the intake were cracked. I'm at a loss on this one. Will get a fuel pressure gauge and check. Help!!!!!!!!!!

have you tried cleaning up the fuel system? like taking apart the rails and spraying carb cleaner in them? try cleaning your injectors or replace them if you got the money. It helped me alot when I was having similiar issues.. you should maybe check the aux ports?
