78 se conversion

CA 78 se conversion

I have a 78 RHD that im upgrading to a se suspension. I noticed that the se had a another valve attached to the master cylinder. What is this? Do i need it? are the threads different on the master cylinder from a 78 and 75?

Proportioning valve as the GSL-SE had disk brakes.

I suspect the threads are the same but I've never checked.
